1. Welcome

By opening the app and using it, you're agreeing to these rules and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please stop using the app.

We might update these rules sometimes. If something important changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the app after that, you're accepting the new version.

  • Count dhikr and track your progress through the 99 Names of Allah

  • Write reflections in a private journal, with optional verse-based prompts
  • Talk to Qareen, an AI companion for Islamic questions and reflection
  • Read hadith and use khutbah transcription tools
  • Turn on Halal Mode to filter inappropriate content on your phone
  • Track your menstrual cycle with Islamic guidance (only if you want to)
  • Find masjids nearby and log your visits

We might add, change, or remove features over time. We'll try to give you a heads-up when something big changes.

3. Who Can Use The App

Age

You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're a minor where you live, get permission from a parent or guardian first.

Everyone is welcome

The app is built primarily for Muslims, but anyone is welcome to use it. No one is turned away based on faith or background.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your password and login info safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone got into it, email us right away at confidentmuslim.app@gmail.com.

Use real information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.

5. About Qareen and AI Features

AI can be wrong

Qareen and any AI-powered prompts use AI to generate responses. The AI can be inaccurate, miss context, or give incomplete answers. Always double-check anything important.

Not a fatwa

AI answers are NOT religious rulings. They are for reflection and learning only. For real religious questions, ask a qualified scholar.

Sensitive topics

AI features may touch on faith, mental health, family, or personal life. They are NOT a replacement for a doctor, therapist, lawyer, or scholar. If you're in crisis, please call your local emergency line or talk to a real professional.

What you share

Don't share anything you wouldn't want sent to an outside AI service. To generate a response, your messages are briefly sent to an AI provider (like OpenRouter).

6. About Halal Mode

Halal Mode is optional. When you turn it on, it filters internet traffic on your phone to reduce exposure to inappropriate content.

We can't promise it blocks everything. The internet changes every day and no filter is perfect.

If you turn off or work around Halal Mode, that's your decision and your responsibility.

7. Religious Content

We try our best

Quran, hadith, dhikr, and other Islamic content in the app is for learning and worship. We do our best to be accurate, but we can't guarantee zero mistakes.

Prayer times and Qibla

Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated from your location and standard astronomical methods. They depend on your device's sensors and the calculation method you pick. When it really matters, double-check locally.

Not a replacement for scholars

The app is not a replacement for real Islamic scholarship. For important religious matters, please ask a qualified scholar.

8. Who Owns What

Our stuff

The app's name, logo, design, code, and content belong to The Confident Muslim (or our partners) and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

Your permission to use it

We give you permission to use the app for yourself (not for business) and only the way these terms say. We can take that permission away.

Your content stays yours

Journal entries, reflections, and anything else you write in the app still belong to you. We just need permission to save and show it back to you, so the app can work for you.

9. Paid Features and Subscriptions

Some app features are available through optional Pro subscriptions. Current prices, billing periods, trial eligibility, and promotional offers are shown in the App Store before purchase.

Apple processes subscription payments and manages renewals, cancellations, and refunds. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.

10. Stopping the Account

You can leave anytime

Stop using the app or delete your account whenever you want. The delete option is in Profile.

We can suspend accounts

We can suspend or close your account, with or without warning, if you break these rules or hurt other users.

What stays after

If your access ends, some parts of these terms still apply, like who owns what, the disclaimers, and which laws govern any dispute.

11. Legal Disclaimer

"As is"

We provide the app "as is" and "as available." We can't promise it will always work perfectly, be error-free, or be available 24/7.

Limits on what we owe you

We're not responsible for indirect or unusual damages from using the app, like lost time, lost income, or business losses.

If we are responsible

Where the law makes us responsible anyway, our total liability is capped at whatever you've paid us in the last 12 months. Since the app is free, that's currently zero.

12. Other Services We Use

The app uses outside services to work. Each has its own terms and privacy policy:

  • Apple: App Store, Sign-In, and push notifications
  • Supabase: accounts, storage, and real-time sync
  • AI providers (like OpenRouter): only to generate AI responses

If any of these services go down or have problems, we're not on the hook for them.

13. Which Laws Apply

Malaysian law

These terms follow Malaysian law.

Malaysian courts

If there's a serious dispute, Malaysian courts handle it.

Try email first

Before anything formal, please email confidentmuslim.app@gmail.com so we can try to sort it out together.

14. Get In Touch

Questions, support, or anything legal: confidentmuslim.app@gmail.com. We'll respond as soon as we can.
